Factory Sharpened & how, I still managed to nick my thumb even past all their careful warning & packing just grabbing this out of the Box when it came, these are for real with the rest of the cutlery upholding every gracious classical standards for bloody murder down the ages, & popular as ever among common hazards to leave ourselves lying about the house except in proper Scabbard where it belongs.
Then our Care Instruction has given how Sword ought not to be kept in Scabbard as Wood & Leather absorb moisture as may rust the Blade -- well minding this (& care for all our Materials as well & anyhow) I soaked some Tung Oil down the channel to saturate my Wood from the inside out, some Saddle Oil to penetrate my Leather from the outside in, & our Windlass Rustblocker to directly protect our Blade whomever we might find to stick it, all between this Oil & that Oil what more could be done.
Instruction further instructive on the difference between real & theatrical Swordplay & common sense once brought to us, take it on the Flat for all our fend & parry, & save the Edge to its finer uses, why would anybody show off wrong. [Better men in realer ages knew how to respect these things & wisely did all their learning & practice with Wood, when I am a better man a better man can tell me, then shall we have enough respect to mess about with the Wood, or we ain't got enough respect to mess about with the Wood, well here just for that we're gonna get some Wood.]
[All my good Period Weapons are proudly from India, all my good wooden Chess Pieces are from India, all my good cast resin erotic Statuary comes from India, you want Craftsmanship any more that isn't prohibited by the wage scales of earlier industrialized societies this is where we go.] Quality materials, solid construction, fits perfect, 5 Stars entirely.
