Battlecry by Windlass

The Battlecry line of historical swords, daggers and axes has been designed in conjunction with John Clements, whose knowledge of historical fencing and Medieval and Renaissance fighting methods is unsurpassed. Hand forged by Windlass Steelcrafts, the 1065 high carbon steel is tempered in computer controlled ovens to an RC in the low 50's. This ensures strength, resiliency and edge retention. Swords have extra wide full tangs and all weapons are sharpened.

Each model has been put through rigorous physical testing to exceed industry standards. These battle tested weapons have a stone washed, blackened finish. Each is individually inspected at every step of the manufacturing process, and only after passing inspection they receive the armorers stamp on the blade. A certificate is included with each, signed by the craftsman that worked on your blade. Also included is a matching sheath and, when applicable, frog.

Review of: Gladius - Maintz Pattern

Just received this sword and scabbard.  Both are amazing works of art!  No flaws, extremely sharp, and looks like it is ready to go on campaign anywhere in the empire.  I would recommend this to anyone looking to add a Roman piece to their collection.

Handle was loose upon arrival.  Easy to tighten.  I really like the weight of it.  Suits my needs well.

Review of: Le Mat Pistol

I bought this with the idea of maybe making it into a prop from Firefly like the character Jayne Cobb had.  This is all metal (except the grip panels) and heavy.  The action works.  The hammer can be pulled back and set and a trigger pull with let the hammer drop.  The cylinder also turns as it should.  This is actually a true 1:1 scale version and looks like the makers used a real LeMat pistol to create the mold.  The only problem that I had was the hammer screw kept trying to work it's way out.  I used a little blue Loctite on it and it was fixed.  I had some reservation about spending this kind of money on a model but after I got it, I am not disappointed too much.  It is still a little pricey but it is the best one that I have found without spending the kind of money it would take for a full working version.

Review of: Late Period War Hammer

I purchased this as a deal of the day.  Great price...fast delivery.  It came well packed and in very good condition.  Some have complained of imperfections.  Mine was in very good condition although the cord wound handle did look somewhat dirty...I'm assuming from the handling of it by the packer who probably had oil on his hands from the hammer itself.....yes....it is well oiled so be careful.
As far as a weapon....this would be formidable.  A good weight that could cause serious damage and a spiked end that would easily penetrate metal.  It adds nicely to my collection of various items from MR.  I've had great service and experience with MR.
Will definitely order again.

Review of: Trench Hawk

I got this as a gift.  This is a solid, well made, usable piece of equipment.  I knocked it around a little in the wood pile just to see what's what.  It seems like it would hold up pretty well.  It kind of reminds me of a modern interpretation of an old Vietnam war era tomahawk.  I like it.

It a nice solid little stabby thing.  My wife likes it for stuff.  I suppose it could be used in a boot or something.  It is a nice gift that I got with my purchase.  Super hard to beat the price, so thanks for that!

Review of: Viking Ulfberht

I have always been interested in Viking history and their equipment.  This must be the most iconic sword when talking about the Vikings.  I had to have it.  This sword feels solid but also lighter than I expected.  Quick to swing and recover.  The inlaid lettering is really nicely done.  Overall, it's a great sword.

Review of: The Father’s Sword

I have always been a really big fan of the Conan movies and have dreamed of having the swords from the movies.  This one is really nice, not just for the price, but a really nice sword.  The lettering is etched in the the blade and it feels solid.  I am not going to defend against any barbarian hordes but I fits the bill on my game room wall.

Review of: Locksley Boots

I bought it for myself but the cut is a bit on the small side, however they turned out to fit my son perfectly, who wears them every chance he gets. I had to replace the lacing after a solid 6 months of almost constant wear which is more than reasonable and I am very happy with how the boots have held up. My only suggestion is to purchase one to two sizes larger than your normal shoe size.
