I just got My Atlantean Sword yesterday. I Love it!!!!! It is PERFECT! If You Love Conan as much as I do, You'll Love it.  I recomend this Sword Highly!!!
From: Paul, February 01, 2017
Looks and feels great,  just a little disappointed it doesn't have a full length tang in the grip, blade seems to be just mounted onto the grip
From: Jason, April 01, 2016
The sword looks very nice and handles well. The blade is of good quality and the bronze work is solid and nice-looking. My only complaint is that after putting this sword to some use, it has developed a minor defect, so that the bronze is slightly cracked near the grip and the sword blade rattles a bit. I was hoping for a functional sword that would be durable, but I fear this is not it. That renders it a wall hanger, rather like the cheaper stainless steel alternatives available elsewhere.
From: Eric, March 16, 2016
Delightful. A solid piece of craftsmanship. It answers the riddle of steel. Very satisfied. No flaws. No rattling in the hilt or crossbar.
From: Brad, January 15, 2016
This is my first, and probably only, experience purchasing a sword. That said, I am very pleased with the product. It appears to be well-crafted and tightly assembled. Since it is intended only for display, and will likely never be employed against Hyperborean slavers, I am completely satisfied with it. Nonetheless, it is obviously a real weapon and not a toy or facsimile, and should be recognized as such by anyone who is considering its purchase. In my opinion, it was easily worth the price.

These Windlass reproductions of the Conan swords are to me marvels. I own all three of the swords and I really like them. I also own the $3k one from the other company and a custom one that cost the same and this sword still impresses me. Its blade like the Fathers is a little wider then the movie sword giving it a nice hefty look. If you are looking for lively sword forget it these are fantasy swords but still they did a nice job of making them usable. If you want the Atlantean buy this sword.
From: John, June 22, 2015
I have wanted this sword ever since I seen Arnold wield it in the movie, back in the 80's. This sword has always ranked #1, on my list of most loved, and desired swords. I am amazed, and impressed over this gorgeous weapon. Everything about it is pure awesome. I had to wait awhile to get it, but it was so worth it. The price is great compared to other Atlanteans of it's caliber being sold elsewhere. There is a bit of clang, just past the guard, on the extension, but very minimal. The ruins are what looks to be a baked on sticker, not etched into the blade. I can look past all that, because it isn't an Albion. When you hold it, you will see that it really is a great, and beautiful sword. Other than those little things I mentioned, it is a very solid, and beautiful sword with high detail. I am extremely happy with this sword overall. Thank you everyone at Museum Replicas/Windlass, you have made my long desired dream, of owning this wonderful, and epic sword real.
From: Gary, April 17, 2015
The design and detail are amazing, and the fittings are well made. I have other swords by Windlass, but this is the best by far. I have always loved the sword of Conan, and this was my return to collecting after going years without a sword purchase. The sword exceeded all my expectations. Was worth the wait!
From: Jacob, February 26, 2015
What a deal!!!  I have several swords in my collection and have always considered this to be the pinnacle.  When I received the sword, I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews.  Man is this thing awesome!  No rattle whatsoever and sharp as hell.  The bronzing job is incredible and it really feels authentic. Windlass and Museum Replicas are the defintion of best Bang or "Clang" for the buck you can find! Well done and thanks for delivering the memories of my childhood.
From: Aron, December 15, 2014
I got mine as a gift and could not be happier with it, it came so sharp it can shave you, feels incredibly solid ,the mirror like polish is perfect. I have already done some light cutting, 3 Inch tatami mats, and a few 4 gallon water jugs, She cut through them like hot butter! Its clear that whatever flaws these had in the beginning have been dealt with. The only singular complaint I have is that it has no scabbard or sheath, and finding one to fit has been challenging. Great job Windlass! You have my vote, and my business.
From: Dustin, December 31, 2013
Good sword except for the steel guard and pommel being cheaply bronzed.
From: gary, December 27, 2013
no complaints here...shipping was fast, sword is solid...i also read all reviews on the internet and i must say, this sword is worth every penny...the fathers sword and valeria's sword is next on my list...dont listen to what some people say on the net, museum replica's windlass atlantean sword rocks,im very satisfied...

I have to admit, I had real reservations about purchasing this sword. I had been reading reviews on blogs and forums since Windlass first came out with the Conan swords, and most reviews were not good. I had seen pictures posted on the reviews and the hardware looked just like the cheap Chinese knock offs you see on Ebay. However, I decided to get it with full intenton of tearing it down, stripping the hardware and re-antiquing it. When I opened the box, I was very pleasantly suprised. It is obvious that Windlass heard the outcrys of the sword community and had made serious changes. The hardware looked MUCH better, as well as the antiquing job. Now, I have no intention of taking it apart. I'll leave it as is. The only two things I wish were different, and my reason for four stars, is I wish the ruins on the bladed wre deeper, and the hardware were not so glossy. But, this is deffinitely worth the money. Two thumbs up.

For me, this is THE sword.  Conan the Barbarian is what got me interested in swords.  So it is with an extra critical eye that I examined this piece.  I found no features of the sword to be disappointing. The fittings are solid and the blade is flexible without being floppy.  The sword is heavy, heavier than I imagined it would be, but I wasn't looking for a sword of historical proportions.  I was looking for Conan's sword and that's what I got.
From: Johnathan, May 23, 2013
This sword is awesome!  Thoroughly impressed.  Getting the Father sword next!
From: Daniel, May 03, 2013
Received my Atlantean this week.  I can hardly express the degree of anticipation that preceeded the arrival of that long cardboard box!  As to the sword herself, what can I say?  I've waited to hold this piece of cinematic beauty for more than 30 years...  I was not disappointed!  Surprised, yes; disappointed, no!  She is a BEAST!  A beutiful beast, but a beast none the less.  Far and away too heavy to be a practical battle weapon, she still is a delight to handle for the fun of it.  Light cutting was a workout because of her sheer mass, but she cuts well and has an edge that I could shave with.  Everything was tight and the few cosmetic imperfections were enough to let me know she was hand crafted, but no where near enough to detract from her awesome presence and beauty.  Thank you Windlass!

Julian - we want to thank you for taking the time to let us know that the sword did not meet your expectations and why.  We are very disappointed that you had such a poor experience, this is not ours or the manufacturers norm.  Quality and value have always been hallmarks for our lines and although there are some limitations when working on licensed products you should still get our best effort and a good product you can be proud of.  We are in the process of addressing this incident.

Pre-ordered this sword through a local supplier, Global Gear, back in June- and was promised the order late July, but "problems with the supplier" had the order pushed back until 2013 and I received the sword two days ago, 5 and a half months later.

The sword I received is substandard from what I'm used to receiving from a Windlass sword.
Upon unboxing the first thing I noticed was the blade rattled rather violently inside the blade collar/grip, and that the entire sword flexed at the point where the hilt meets the crossguard. And I mean -flexed-. I'm not talking a minor movement, I'm talking the entire blade/handle being able to tilt about 5 degrees from each other. The whole mounting overall feels too loose and poorly fitted to ever actually want to swing the sword at anything if I were silly enough to do so.
I was a little disappointed by the "Deep Runes" actually appearing to be some kind of paint-etched sticker on the blade, but for the price we're paying for this sword, I can't really say I could expect anything more elaborate.
As Sara also said, the antiquing in areas literally just rubbed away while cleaning the grease off.

The final gripe (Which is more Global Gears than Museum Replica's fault) is that they specified the item I was ordering was the sharpened version, and I've been sent a blade duller than my wit. There is no evidence it ever had an edge at all, so somebody has ordered/supplied the wrong blade, though in a way I suppose I should be thankful, for I feel the Rat-tail tang would snap if I were stupid enough to swing this thing.

Overall, this sword makes a good looking wall-hanger, but thats it, which honestly makes me wonder why we paid money for a Carbon blade in the first place.
Museum Replicas and Windlass, I know we're not paying top dollar for this item, but when I buy a blade that has been "expertly reproduced by the master craftsmen at Windlass Steelcrafts®" I expect to be buying a Windlass quality blade. Not this. This is shameful. What I've bought is a $100 sword with $220 of licensing attached to it.

It took some time to recieve due to being backordered, but definatly worth the wait! Pretty much a "must have" for Conan fans everywhere!
From: Lawrence, May 13, 2012
I received my sword today after a three week wait and WOW! For an 8 pound weapon it is balanced wonderfully. Everything is tight like it should be. The runes on mine are lightly etched then blackened to help them stand out. I had it sharpened and its like a three foot razor. The antiquing on the brass is done nicely and didn't wipe off on mine. The grip is Natural hemp from what I can tell and is wrapped securely. Over all I feel they did a great job on this one.
From: Gary, February 09, 2012
Like Sara I also waited for about a month because it was backordered. I recieved it today and I'm very happy with the sword. Holding it in my hands I could also see the differences between this version and the Albion version. The albion version has the atlantean runes engraved in the blade where this version it's like a sticker or painted on. Both my hands fit nicely on the grip and I have size 12 hands. If you MUST have the best version get the albion ($3000), but for the price $320 sharpened this version is perfect.
From: Cesar, January 05, 2012
I received this sword after a long back order wait. The over all look is great, very true to the movie. There were a couple things that I was not completely happy with. When I took it out of the box the pommel was not securely attached to the handle; the tang is a piece of all-thread welded to the blade, basically a rat tail tang. Then there is the antiquing on the brass parts. It was too heavy and easily wiped off when I cleaned the grease from those areas. I ended up using a metal polish and very fine steel wool to lightly clean off the raised areas. I'm not trying to down the product because it is a great looking piece, just needs some DIY tlc. Thanks

very cool for 295, had it sharpened they did a great job!!!
