Roman Sandals

Sandals like these were worn by the Roman Legion for the long march and the campaign that often followed it. The hobnails kept the sole from wearing out too quickly. Leather construction. Brown, whole sizes 6 through 12. Excellent quality. Size 6 on closeout!

I put these on as soon as I received them.  My mistake was standing on hardwood flooring.  In grass or rough surfaces they are fairly comfortable and look awesome.

I love the look of these sandals but they will give you blisters until your feet get used to them. I wore them for a good four hours without getting too tired; so they are reasonably comfortable. Beware they can be slippery on linoleum. Thanks Museum Replicas!

So far these have been excellent. I would advise only using them on dirt or grass surfaces as they slide on modern surfaces. Also, buy some leather strands to use as ties because the pieces they give you are usable, but not that great.

Red Cotton Roman Tunic

Our brightly colored Roman tunic copies the standard issue to the Roman legions from the days of the Republic to the end of the Empire (around 400 AD). Worn under armor or by itself, the simple lines of this tunic are classic and lend themselves to many combinations of clothing from later periods of history. This oversized cotton shirt extends to mid-thigh, giving it a distinctive look. Red only. Romans took the color from the Spartan's red cloaks as later did the English army. Spartans wore red so that their enemies would never see them bleed. Shown here with the Roman Belt with Hanging Leather Strips. Sizes S (36"-38"), M (40"-42"), L (44"-46"), XL (48"-50") and XXL (add $5.00).
