15th Century Longsword

#500800
$245.00

The longsword, often called a hand-and-half, saw a great deal of service as a weapon of war, but was also employed a great deal as a civilian weapon of self-defense. Coupled with a dagger, the longsword was an excellent defense against robbers, thieves, footpads, assassins and even some of the robber bands that might roam the countryside. A good serviceable point allowed it to be used for thrusting, and a medium weight allowed it to be used easily and carried with equal ease. This weight also allowed it to be used with one hand with a dagger in the other. But when needed, it could be gripped with both hands for a very powerful cut. This is a beautiful and very functional sword with steel pommel and guard. The grip is wood wrapped with leather and wire. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts. Includes scabbard. ($5 additional s/h) Can be sharpened for additional fee.

    Excellent blade for the price
Fit and finish is a little rough but other than that a superb weapon.

Fits well with me and my practice of German martial long sword.

Very little distal droop, good temper. Easy to index and recover.

This is a good looking, well-made sword at an economical price.  Maybe more like 4.5 stars.

Beautiful sword. My fiance loved it, he couldn't get over the fact that he had a real sword; of course he cut himself within half an hour trying to re-sheath it haha. Thank you for your services, will be buying from here again!

Delightful sword!  Beautiful, sturdy and a thrill in the hand.  Cuts like a witch!  Belies the reputation that Windlass seems to have acquired on certain sword sites concerning "whippiness."  The blade is flexible yet stiff and shows very little distal droop when held horizontally.  A true winner that I cannot recommend too highly.

i have carried this sword to many functions and have never been more pleased with a sword of this calibur.
asthetically pleasing as well as a dream to wield in a combat situation.
light enough to be weilded one handed yet deadly with two-grip is comfortable and even with the rings on the guard is easy to carry. i highly reccomend this to all my friends!!

    Medieval Double Wrap Belt

    #200454
From the early B.C. Celts to well past the Renaissance, warriors figured out that a double wrap belt was a more comfortable way to carry a sword. But it was in Medieval times that the practice really flourished. When the extra length of belt wraps around a body the second time, both hips then support the weight of the sword. Besides the balanced suspension, this belt presents a swashbuckling appearance. Includes a frog hanger that will fit all scabbards. Made of beautiful top grade leather it is 1-3/4" wide. The Medieval Belt is available in brown with brass or black with nickel silver studs and buckle. Choose from S (28"-35"), M (33"-40"), L (38"-45") or XL 43" - 50"). All sizes are approximate.

    Windlass Rustblocker

    #801488
Fight the high cost of rust with the same vapor phase corrosion inhibitors (VpCl) developed for the military and NATO. The metal seeking vapors in Windlass Rustblocker form an invisible layer of electrochemical inhibitors that seal metal against the air and moisture. Easy spray-on application removes dirt & grime and seals bare metal for long lasting protection. Perfect for all metal products including knives, swords, axes, firearms or any metal part requiring cleaning and corrosion protection!
