A name that stands among the greatest of Japanese history including Tokugawa Ieyasu, Oda Nobunaga and Uesugi Kenshin, Takeda Shingen was equally respected both on the battlefield and in politics. This katana honors the Tiger of Kai, and the tsuba features an image of him wielding a war fan, his favorite weapon.
The motto of the Takeda clan is shown on the blade side of the tsuba and the gold fushi. The tsuka is wrapped in black cotton sageo around white same with a finely detailed gold tiger on the kashira. Features a gold Takeda menuki with silver seppa and habaki with a 65MN forged steel blade. The textured red saya has black sageo with buffalo horn kurikata and kojiri.
