The second king of the Kingdom of Israel is known as a brave warrior and a great leader credited with the authorship of many of the Psalms and his biblical contributions are revered to this day.

Before becoming king and prophet, David may be better known for his slaying of the Philistine champion Goliath in one-on-one combat.  Facing an army of Philistines, David hears their champion, the giant Goliath, taunt the Israelites to send their own champion to decide the outcome of the armies conflict in single combat.  David believes he can defeat Goliath so Saul reluctantly allows him to go. David proves his metal by felling Goliath with a stone from his sling, and seeing their champion defeated, the Philistines flee the field of battle giving a great victory to the Israelites.  To celebrate the brave deed and announce it to the world David draws his sword and beheads the giant as a symbol of faith.  If you believe, anything is possible- a tenant that resonates with us as strongly today as it did when it was so poignantly illustrated.

His sword is amazing and shows not only great artistry, but the utilitarian purpose of a tool used to vanquish enemies.  The sword now lies in the amazing collection in Topkapi Palace and is painstakingly reproduced for the first time.  This is the sword of the Prophet and King David.  Every single detail and element has been expertly reproduced by hand from the original to be an exact match down to the dazzling 24K gold thread on the scabbard ribbon that accompanies the original relic and hand sculpted metal work of the scabbard.

The sword is 101 cm. in length; it has a wood grip covered in leather, silver plated pommel and steel cross guard.  It weighs 2 ½ lbs and has a wide straight high carbon steel, hand forged blade with an aged finish to more accurately replicate the original.  Near the cross guard is an engraved image of a man holding a human head in one hand and a sword in the other, symbolizing the story of the prophet David and Goliath.  This weapon is known as the “sword of the prophets,” and is inscribed in Arabic with the names of David, Solomon, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, Zachariah, John, Jesus, and Muhammad.  The scabbard is wood covered in leather with intricate metal work and ribbon & sword knot made with 24K gold thread that can still be seen on the original.  Each piece is painstakingly replicated by the finest craftsmen by hand and can take months to finish.

Comes in a custom padded, velvet lined, genuine leather display case.
