Was slightly disappointed at the white spots on the handle (obviously a white plastic or metal that was painted over) but still very excited to give this product to my fiance as his engagement gift, I think he'll love it and it definitely was worth the price!
Note: I got this product with the intention of it being a display sword, I don't know how well it would hold up under use but it will look great on our wall!

I was slightly disappointed in the sword when the first thing that happened was one of the decorative tips on the guard cracked right off in my hand. I was sad to see that the metal used in the construction of the guard wasn't steel, as a sales rep of MR had told me, but a cheaper, cast metal. The blade is obviously hand forged and hand ground, which is good, but the blade can not stand up to a blade of Starfire caliber. I will say it feels strong and well put together in the hand. Still looking forward to buying the other pieces of the costume, but I'm definitely making my own hidden blade.

I was expecting alot from this sword.  I got it in just today and the hilt was just plain ugly.  Instead of a steel (or other gray colored metal) with black accents I got a black hilt pathetically painted in white patches on ALL the decorative metalwork.  Sorry MR, but I would rather spend $200 on something else.  What I got I would pay maybe $50 for.
