Product reviews for Hunting Trousse

I just received this product after purchase on a 'Deal of the Day' at half price.  I had seen it in the catalogue for quite a while, had always had interest in it, but was unsure of how it would handle.

The moment I pulled it out of its wrapping and took a grip on the horn handle, I was blown away.  The heft and balance of this item, along with its sheer size and power is unbelievable. Had I realized how perfect a piece this was, I would never have hesitated to pay full price a few years ago for it.

The craftsmanship is top-notch, not just the feel. The trousse itself is incredibly solid.  I was pleased to see that the tang of the blade was peened over the (very solidly designed) pommel, in a traditional fashion, and surprised beyond belief that the same was true of the FORK and KNIFE that accompany it!

As far as handling, with the edge this puppy has on it, I am quite confident (as a practiced swordsman) that the cutting power of this knife would be quite surprising.

I am sad to see this item leave, knowing what I know now.  I hope it will come back.  This is one of the most worthwhile purchases I've made in a long time - and as I said, having handled it, I would have happily paid full price.

The sharpened edge is nearly perfect, a fantastic purchase (especially when it was offered at 1/2 price during a Deal of the Day)!  The only portion of the Trousse that could have been a bit better is the sheath itself.

Superb knife. Outstanding. If you didn't get one of these when they were available, you really missed out!
