This doublet is very well made. The fabric appears to be quality and the stitching is well done on the seams and buttons. As other people have commented, make sure you use the doublet sizing chart, not the men's clothing sizing chart. At 5'11 and 43" chest, the XL fits me perfectly.

Very high quality, beautifully made piece. This is going to last through years of wear. I cannot wait to wear it at a Renaissance event I’m attending in December. Looks fantastic with the Cavalier Shoulder Cape, the Wayfarer Pants (Black) and the Adventurers Boots.

This doublet looks great and seems to be very well-made. However I normally wear a medium but I chose to purchase a large in the event I would wear a shirt under it. Surprisingly the large is even small on me.

Attractive but run very small. This is a very attractive and nicely made costume piece, but the sizes seem to run very small. I ordered the doublet in my normal XL size, but it was much closer in size to a men's medium and would does not come close to fitting the sizes shown on the sizing chart.

This is an amazing piece. Bought it for my husband and was so impressed! The colors would be complimentary on any complexion and the flattering cut will give you a lordly appearance. Keep in mind that the thick fabric will keep you toasty during your autumn trysts.  Sleeves are slim fitting; runs a little short in the length and a little large in the waist. Looks awesome with black tights and a black belt.

Go big... had to return mine for an XL (and I'm 5'8"@190# and Large was tiny on me!!).  very pretty

I love this doublet.   The material is very heavy -- nothing like a typical "costume" item.

One note:  I'm tall (6'2") and slim.  I  bought the Large. I wish it was a few inches longer at the waist.
