Product reviews for D’ Artagnan Doublet

Magnificent doublet, leather is like butter. I hate to take it off. Guys, if you are a medium (38 and M) get the large size, this runs small and a Large fits me perfectly, (38 1/2 inch chest, 32 1/2 inch waist, 5' 9" tall). This doublet is a steal at this price.

I gave it 5 stars even though: a) three of the four the closure elastics popped out of the leather slots, and I had to sew them back in; b) I had to sew back on a few of the buttons; c) it smelled strongly of wood-smoke; and d) they run a tad small ... simply because overall the pattern is so cool and the stitching so well-done for the price. Leslie, if the sleeves on mine had been too small, I'd have bought some leather and sewn some ornate cuffs onto it LOL!

This is a beautiful piece. It is very light weight and thin, but the sleeves were about 4" too short for me. Even the X lrg has the same length sleeves. (23" from the top seam I think) They were very nice and refunded me without question, Sad because it was gorgeous!
