Crude, big, heavy, and questionably historical, but undoubtedly well-made.
You have to know what you're getting, with this one.  It's sourced only from illustrations in the Maciejowski Bible, and so interpretations of the weapon and how it might have been used (even assuming that it existed) are very controversial.

This interpretation is big, with a thick, durable blade.  The handle is also suitably crude, with no real features to help secure one's hands to the weapon.  The blade length (in keeping with the illustrations) is short for the handle.  I have difficulty seeing how this weapon would have been used, or why such a weapon would have been made, but there's no doubt that you can do serious damage with such a weapon if it were sharpened up properly.  It's actually a high-quality, solid weapon and not an impossible interpretation of the illustrations, but it makes me question the source material more than anything else.  A worthwhile purchase for anyone who's interested in (trying to) understand the enigmatic imagery in the  Morgan Bible.

Awesome buy
I purchased this after they recently brought these back. Couldn't be happier. Very thick spine, interesting "sharpening" which has left a very obvious bevel, but nonetheless a really cool and functional cleaver.

My antiquing was way darker than the pictures shown however. Still awesome for the price (and beyond the price).
