Very Pleased
This is the best yet of my purchases from MR. Fit and finish are very good, as is the sharpening of the blade. Keep up the good work.

Good Dirk, Loose Scabbard
The dirk is very well made, sharp, and stout. The downside is the scabbard, which is well made also, but is too open at the neck. The dirk is loose in the scabbard and can easily fall out if you're handling in the scabbard. If the scabbard was snug it would be 5 stars for sure.

Not sharpened, and I paid to have it sharpened.
Other than paying an extra 15 dollars for it to be sharpened and having it show up with out an edge at all, I happy with the product.

A GREAT period piece!
A beautiful and functional piece of work.  I would recommend this to anyone interested in a very good knife or this period/culture.

Seek for the sword that lies broken...
I received this as a gift and covered the scabbard's black leather with white hair-on calfskin to match a dress sporran.  There are many styles of dirk.  This style is based upon those which were made from the broken tips of swords: a basket-hilt claymore in this case (in our minds), the ID made obvious by the pattern of almost fullers on the blade.  This is a mini short sword... particularly heavy, and with none of the stiletto-like delicacy of a typical ballock knife.  You'd feel confident going up against an angry pit bull with this--- not so a ballock knife.

Scottish Dirk
I got this dirk not knowing what to expect, i've used it at reenactments and have had many compliments on it. it has stood up over the years and still looks great, well worth the money!

Beautiful weapon! Flawless
A birthday gift for my father,  who has started collecting Scottish arms and armor after being stationed at RAF Edzell!

This dagger exceeded my expectations. It arrived early,  and I set about putting an edge on the thick blade. It is very good steel, took me about 4 hours!  If you want it sharpened,  I advise ordering the sharpening service! Museum replicas does an outstanding job having ordered sharpening on other blades.

The carved wood handle is beautiful. I properly oiled it before presenting the gift,  and it looked great.

A very strong sturdy dagger any highlander would be proud to carry with their targe in hand!

This Dirk is big and well balanced, almost a short sword. Nice triple fuller design,  thick spine. A tough,  stabbing weapon in application,  and a work of art to display. Easily 5 stars,  I want one myself!

Nice work !
Very Well made.  The belt loop was bended on scabbard but its not a big issue.  A other great addition to my collections

A superb offering. Well balanced, great looking, and very sturdy for a good price. My favorite Museum Replicas purchase so far.

Great reproduction of a scottish dirk, love the fact that it looks like a cut down scottish basket hilt. very sharp and durable. great for a jacobite like myself.

My first Dirk and it is a great.
Craftsmanship is great.
I would like more initials engraved because I have 6 initials PJAGSR
Phillip Joseph Ander Gregory, Sr.
I need to figure how to keep the dirk in the scabbard. Some type of tie down that lets me release it. Keep up the good work.

This is a well made dagger that I would really classify as a short sword. It is heavier and less nimble than the Primitive Dirk sold elsewhere in the catalog. The carving on the handle allows for a better grip. It is very nice looking and would look great mounted in a display.
