Product reviews for WWI Experimental Helmet

Picked this up for a future steampunk outfit, surprised by the weight which is quite substantial.  The face cover is quite a bit wider than the picture leads you to believe and the eye slits are not close enough(2.25" apart) leading to strange vision when looking straight forward.  The helmet also is very heavy towards the front and will drop if there is any movement.  However it seems this was made for wearing with a gas mask and when coupled with one it all works perfectly.  Your head seats to the back of the helmet, the weight distribution shifts and is stable, and best of all vision is improved although still limited by the narrow slits.  Gives a good understanding of what they were trying to achieve with this experimental helmet.  So if you intend on wearing this one... Get a gas mask as well.
