Wow this shield is impressive. It is massive and heavy. One could imagine it on the front lines of a phalanx shielding a Spartans body from all harm. This is one well made piece, very heavy.

Great construction, well large enough...worth the money.  Now I need a true Greek Breast Plate (XXL)...the 300 movie was not a true depiction of a Greek Hoplite.

Superior craftsmanship in every aspect of the design and metal finish. It is fitted with a sturdy handle forearm sheath.        The inner lining is great to stop penetrating arrows. Though it is unlikely that they could penetrate the steel. This shield is Perfect for visiting hostile in-laws or neighbors

I can't say enough good things about this shield. The easiest way to praise it is to say it looks like someone took it right off the set of 300. It does not disappoint at all. High quality and well done with an 'aged' look.
