This style helmet is pictured extensively on the Bayeux Tapestry. Its basic, minimalist design allowed for excellent vision and unencumbered breathing. Hand-forged from 18 gauge steel, it is a classic skullcap helmet with a reinforcing band around the base and crossbar nasal guard.
