Review of: Spartan Lakonia Short Sword

This sword has a great feel to it.  It is shorter than a normal xiphos, as Spartan swords really were.  Wielding it side by side with my typical Greek xiphos helps me see the advantage of the shorter design preferred by the Spartans.  It feels fast and well balanced, like a sports car.  I am also a sucker for the bronze hilt.

As this was a gift, I really didn't look closely. Seemed to be excellent work still in the package, though. However, my daughter was delighted with it. That makes me happy!

Again, dang! This thing is ginormous! That being said, it is also heavy and looks awesome and now i need something that is giant and iron and awesome to lock with it! 5 stars, would recommend. Good to note that it is covered in some sort of corrosion resistant grease or oil or some such.
