The falchion was a weapon used in battle more than most people realize. Considered a heavy, single edged weapon designed for heavy chopping, it has an ancient history that stretches back to the Bronze Age. During the Renaissance its form became a little more elaborate, but its functionality remained the same. This was a heavy battle sword designed to oppose the combinations of plate and mail. We have copied a sword in the Florence Museum dating from the first quarter of the 16th century. The blade is high carbon steel. The guard and the pommel are steel, while the grip is polished hardwood. The scabbard mounts are also steel. A beautiful and impressive sword.

This sword is better than expected. The weight is to be expected for this type of sword but it is still easy to swing and maneuver into a guard position. It is very well balanced. The pommel to me is quite unique, it definitely is a conversation starter. Overall a very exquisite piece for a collection.

Picked this up for a Solomon Kane outfit and I am very satisfied.  Will have to put an edge on it after Halloween and do some cutting tests.

Wonderful sword. Its guard is wonderfully ornate and the blade has a beautiful curve.

Universal Sword Hanger

The perfect display option for most of our swords, this sword hanger is made from polished steel and has an adjustable bracket. On the top is a hole for a nail or screw. Once you hang the sword, the hanger practically disappears, taking nothing away from your beautifully edged weapon collection.

Venetian Stiletto

#400994
On a trip to Venice we were touring the Doge's Palace and admiring the weapons when a particularly beautiful stiletto caught our eye, which we have reproduced here. Centuries old, its elegantly crafted contours and unique triangular blade were obviously shaped by a master; for the dagger shone with a positively happy wickedness. Stilettos come in many sizes, from delicate little hideout weapons to forthright long daggers suitable for use even as a main gauche, but this is certainly one of the more attractive ones we've come across. Blade face is beautifully hollowed. Grip is wood. Stiletto comes complete with sheath. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts®.
