OVERVIEW

Circa 1390
This is the type of heavy combat sword used by Italians in battles with the Holy Roman Empire (controlled by Germany), with the French and the many struggles between the Italian city-states. The parts are steel and the grip is wood wrapped in twisted wire and over wrapped in leather.  The blade is from well tempered 1095 high carbon steel.  Scabbard included. Web Only.

Note:  This is a one of a kind sample that did not made it into production.

Almost what I want; good for half-swording. A slightly longer grip and/or a smoother, more rounded pommel would be better. Whatever happened to that beautiful all-black Italian Bastard sword that used to be in the catalog?
