This solid brass microscope is a drum design common to the 1700's and 1800's. This one works with 16x amplification and makes a unique and conversation worthy decor item. Galileo was instrumental in starting future inventors down the microscope path which lead to breakthroughs in microbiology and medicine. This beauty represents an early stage in micro discoveries. Note: although this is a functional microscope it should not be used for serious medical work.
