OVERVIEW

Circa 1200-1300
This massive Lowland Claymore is like one held by the Bruce clan which they assert belonged to Robert the Bruce himself. It is certainly the correct type for that age when knights wore mail, barrel helms and some small pieces of plate, just as the Bruce did.

This type of huge sword could wreak havoc on that type of armor. The long blade is fullered and of a flattened cross section and is fully tempered high carbon steel. The parts are steel and the long grip is wood wrapped in cord for a good grasp. Large swords like this were not worn but carried over the shoulder with the flat of the blade down without a scabbard during this period. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts.

$10 additional shipping/handling.

Can be sharpened for an additional fee.

Heroic Sword for a Heroic Man
Bought this years ago.  I have cut with it and it's a beast on any target.  Because of it's size it's the centerpiece of my sword rack.  I leather wrapped the grip over the original cord wrap.  Looks and feels better.  Excellent two hander at a great price.

Love this sword. Blade was sharper than expected. The only thing I was disappointed in was the handle wrap is white and not brown as shown in picture and when shipped in protective wrap the top and bottom of white wrap were blackened with grease.

A big sword that is a very accurate replica of the original. Well balanced and has a solid peen construction. Great sword for anyone interested in Scottish history or looking for a quality replica of a Lowland Claymore as opposed to the Highland Claymore or Braveheart movie design.
