This small Roman fire pit is easy to transport, making it perfect for your next event or camp out. Made of durable hand-forged blackened steel, this handy hearth rests atop 4 feet, keeping it off the ground. The firebox has cut-outs to allow for optimum circulation. A fitted pan rests at the bottom, providing fresh oxygen for the fire and easy ash/coal disposal afterward. The cooktop is a hinged grate with a handle extending past the box so you can easily open the cooking surface to access the bottom. Each corner of the box has a raised tab extending above and away from the firebox so you can rest the handle of pots or pans on top of the brazier. A large handlebar on top makes transporting this little brazier easily between uses.
This style brazier was used from Roman times, throughout the middle ages and well into colonial times.
