OVERVIEW

Circa 1500-1550

The term broadsword was not coined until the thin class of blades came into use. This massive cutting sword certainly lives up to the name in every way. The very broad blade is lightly hollow ground and can deliver very heavy cuts.  The long steel quillions are very stout and end in decorative finials that match the scent stopper steel pommel.  The highly contoured grip is wrapped in cord and leather.  The blade is well tempered from 1095 high carbon steel.   Scabbard included.

Note:  This is a one of a kind sample that did not made it into production.
