This cane is solidly constructed of steamed beech wood with a black finish. The sculpted cane head is that of an ominous fist and molded-in metal, which is imposing enough to ward off the toughest of criminals. A rubber, anti-skid tip is included.

Fisted cane
I am sorry about my previous review, now that I might be in need of using a cane, and practicing using a cane as a defensive weapon with a California Tai Chi group. The fisted cane is a fine and wonderful and unique tool. I will be purchasing at least one more and a few other of Museum Replica's quality products.

Fisted walking stick
This item has a plastic shaft. The shaft should be made of the same material as the 'the fisted spike cane'. The fisted spike cane is by far a much sturdier tool for konking a thug upside the bean. Low ratings on the shaft, if it's not plastic, then sorry, but it sure doesn't feel like solid hard wood.
