This example derives from an interesting group of swords and daggers, which evolved in Italy around 1600 and were popular for the first half of the 17th century. Sometimes known as crab claw or winged claw hilts for their multiple down turned guards, that feature in this example is particularly effective as it provides a means of capturing an opponents blade creating the opportunity for a counter thrust. A beautiful finial pommel, a multi-wrapped metal chain grip and a matching scabbard covered in soft black leather make this one formidable opponent. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts. Can be sharpened for additional fee.

This dagger is GORGEOUS!! Was an amazing deal!! Thank you for your prompt, wonderful service!!

Great deal. Solid construction. I got mine sharpened and it came razor sharp. The wire wrapped handle isn't quite as comfortable in bare hands as a leather wrapped handle but while wearing gloves you don't notice so overall not an issue. The sheath is nice too. Ordered this while on special for only $64 (sharpened). If need a renaissance dagger you can't beat this deal on quality for the price.

Just received this delivered for a whopping $79.95...   Via the Deal of the Day...   I am completely pleased...  Scabbard is well fitted and has great functional detail...  The crab claws are begging for some Home lovin with some dremel and file work for the projectors... But looks just great out of the bubble wrap... Seems to me that it would compare well with some originals...  Will be keeping an eye out for the Diavolo on the Deal of the Day... And yes... That was a very broad hint to MRL...
