Date Masamune Katana

The katana has a distinct brown suede wrap placed over white same (rayskin) with a detailed gold menuki. The tsuba depicts the general issuing commands on one side, with the other showing a scene of Date’s forces at war. A masterful katana to add to any collection. The blade has a deep hamon, making it well balanced for cutting. The black textured saya has a brown cotton sageo and buffalo horn kurikata and kojiri.
