Daggers

After the club, daggers are man's oldest tool and weapon.  Historically they were usually double edged and used to deliver quick, lethal strokes. Their small size made it perfect for those more nefarious types. They were also used in the "two handed" fighting style popularized by the French during the Renaissance.

Review of: Musketeer Main Gauche

This is a truly phenomenal main gauche. Sturdily constructed, it serves as the ultimate off-hand parrying, trapping, binding and smacking weapon. Everything about this main gauche, form the thick ricasso to the excellently tempered diamond cross section blade, to the extra large quillons, to the ridged patterns for trapping blades and especially the phenomenal knuckle guard with it's fantastic detailing is just a cut above what one would expect for such a low price. A must-have in any collection and a trusty sidearm that will quickly become a practicing swordsman's favorite.

Review of: Early Scottish Dirk

I received this as a gift and covered the scabbard's black leather with white hair-on calfskin to match a dress sporran.  There are many styles of dirk.  This style is based upon those which were made from the broken tips of swords: a basket-hilt claymore in this case (in our minds), the ID made obvious by the pattern of almost fullers on the blade.  This is a mini short sword... particularly heavy, and with none of the stiletto-like delicacy of a typical ballock knife.  You'd feel confident going up against an angry pit bull with this--- not so a ballock knife.

A very beautiful stiletto! Flawless execution on this one. It even stays in the sheath without slipping out. If you like this style get it!

Just right in every way, and not too dangerously sharp in this case.
