Oliver Cromwell earned his place in history as a champion of the English Civil War and later as Lord Protector of England. This sword has been replicated based on Cromwell’s original blade now housed in the permanent collection of the Royal Armouries in Leeds, England. The mortuary style hilt has a blackened guard decorated with a gold foliage pattern and a wire-wound sharkskin grip. While the original scabbard was lost, Paul Chen / Hanwei has provided one that would be appropriate for the period.
