Brass Hilted Rondel Dagger

Out of stock

Circa 1350
The Rondel Dagger was around for a long period of time and took many forms, from utilitarian to pure combat weapon, like this one. Made with peened construction, the grip is long enough to be grasped with a mail mitten or gauntlets and the round guard and butt lock it securely in the hand. Many Rondels had plain dagger blades, but this compact type has a thick, strong-fullered blade that ends with a reinforced tip for punching through mail and finding the small, unprotected areas of armor. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts of high carbon steel. Scabbard included.

I absolutely love this knife. It weighs a bit, with the all metal construction, but feels great in the hand. I had mine sharpened, an option I think they removed - and I understand why - this style blade is unique.
