OVERVIEW

Circa 15th Century

Named for the final battle of the Percy Rebellion of 1402-1408, this style dagger is typical of well-to-do martial wear of the period. The end result of a power feud between the 1st Earl of Northumberland Henry Percy and King Henry IV, the Battle of Bramham Moor was fought in snow on a cold 19th of February. The violent melee ended Percy's life and the power of the Percy family, although a branch of descendants would rise to prominence later during the Wars of the Roses.

This long dagger has an unpolished stained wood grip and low-sheen brass fittings. The brown leather scabbard features a throat and chape of brass that complement the dagger fittings. The belt hook is a finely detailed roaring lion's head, befitting a nobleman. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts and comes factory sharp.

The blade is great but the scabbard…
The actual dagger is great but the scabbard “broke” the first day. My meaning is that the blade will not fully seat in the scabbard anymore so about 2 inches of the actual blade is always exposed and there is nothing I can do about it :/

Bramham Moor Dagger, Functional and ornamental
Deal of the Day! Great value at regular price, even better discounted. Lovely dagger, the brass looks nicely aged. Blade looks excellent, fairly sharp edges and very sharp .point. Everything is snug, no rattles. The scabbard is nicely finished, and I can hold it upside down and shake it gently without the dagger sliding out, but with a slight pull it slides right out.

An excellent dagger
This is actually a fine, well balanced combat weapon.  The steel is tough & holds an edge well. Were it not so ornate, it would make an excellent choice for those things we use modern daggers like the Gerber for … (besides display pieces) … .

High Quality Dagger, Beautiful!
I think this dagger is my favorite.

The fittings are brass, with a wooden handle and it's just incredibly nice and pretty!

The fit in the scabbard is snug and smooth.

Excellent length, and girth on the blade.

Very happy with my purchase here!

Excellent Dagger
The fit and finish on this dagger are superb!  The balance is good and well worth the money.  It is by far the best reproduction of a medieval dagger in my collection.  I am more than pleased!

Decorative Dagger
I bought  this  as a birthday  present  for  myself .  I had  it  sharpened  and  engraved . Good  job !  The  wood  to  metal  fit is excellent .  The  girth  of  the  grip  is on  the   small  side , but  it  indexes well  since  it's  oval  at the  hilt  and  round  at the  pommel .  The  scabbard  is great .  There  is  a slight  twist  in the  blade  grind .  I'm  very  pleased  with  it .

Great Dagger
The ‘foil’ style grip is narrow so that it can be handled like a Fairburn dagger

It is an excellent & tough piece of steel—whatever it is—& it holds an edge well

I’ve been testing mine & pretty much scuffed things up. I repolished it (the edge is still holding) & blued it a dark black/blue.

I was impressed as a lot of blade steel won’t give you a uniform color when you try; Interestingly, Sheffield Fairborn-Sykes Will blue up nicely as well
