These are absolutely beautiful boots. They have one fatal flaw and if you look closely at the picture, you will see zippers. ZIPPERS! Who puts zippers on medieval style boots? So, the night I got them, I spent the entire evening cutting out the zippers and punching and hammering black fashion eye grommets down each side of the boot (40 total grommets was perfect). I bought two 72" black leather laces (grommets, grommet tool, and laces were about 16 dollars or so at the local superstore) and laced them into the grommets and used a length of black cotton cloth to interlace with the laces to cinch up the gaps. The end result was a pair of BEAUTIFUL, authentic looking medieval boots (garb Nazi's will still hammer on the rubber sole, but I'm not about to change that out with all the walking I'll be doing in these things)! Definitely 4 stars if you don't mind doing the one night of work to make them right. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother...
