Review of: Round Brown Viking Shield

A requested gift from my wife and I could not be happier.  Solid construction and authenticity.

I am a history professor and I use it in my Military History class to let the students get a "feel" for what it was like to hold a shield in the shield wall (and of course it gives me an excuse to play with it!)

Review of: Round Brown Viking Shield

My wife bought this for me for Christmas (under my guidance of course).  Good, solid, historically accurate and very well made.  I am going to use this in my military history classes to show how the Norsemen fought in the shield wall.  Very satisfied!!

Review of: Round Brown Viking Shield

Excellent shield.  Wood is solid.  Bolts are recessed on the back.  Metal edge is thick enough to protect against damage.  Back is reinforced and covered with felt.  Thick leather arm support and solid wood center handle.  You will need a good strong arm and shoulder to hold this shield for any length of time.

Review of: Mail Armor Shirt

The mail armor shirt is excellent. I'm very excited wearing this to the medieval fair. I sometimes just wear it around the house because I like it so much.

Review of: Mail Armor Coif

I just received this and am totally delighted with it.  I wasn't sure how good the quality would be considering the reasonable price but when I pulled it out and examined it, I was very impressed.  I put it on and walked in on my wife and son holding one of my recently acquired swords and once they were done laughing, they both agreed the coif looked very cool and quite authentic.  It fits great and though heavy...(as one would expect)...it is not difficult to wear for a long period.  This would be great at a Renaissance Fair or similar event.  I'm not sure where I'm going to use it but I'm glad I got it and I highly recommend it.

Review of: Round Brown Viking Shield

I bought this Shield just a bout 3 years ago.  I have used it extensively at various Renaissance Fairs.  It is an impressive mighty shield for both defensive and offensive actions.  Be aware though, it is heavy, so make sure you can rest in between bouts.
