Good Job!
Windlass has stood up to it's reputation once again, for this price it's an absolutly  fantastic blade and it feels great in the hand too. Also even with the most basic shipping method Museum Rep was still able to get it shipped to me within a week (US midwest location)!

Exceptional.
Bought this as a gift for someone. Genuinely cannot tell you how thrilled they were at receiving it. Quality craftsmanship, beautiful design, and a nice weight to the whole thing. My large hands are just a little snug on the hilt, but that's not the blade's fault!

Great Purchase
The product is outstanding... The 1065 blade is perfect in every way and tapers down to a needle point. The grip fits my large hands (barely) and the peening on the pommel is done very well. The leather grips are comfortable but look like they may be artificial... not sure on this. The runes on the blade are very nice and match the ones from the museum piece that this was based off of. The sheath is nice enough but plain. The belt loops are a bit far apart to wear across the back or front and I doubt that a long seax was ever worn that way (regular seax, yes). Anyways the long seax  blade is about twice as long as a seax knife and is just too long to wear horizontally. Overall I was not disappointed with this purchase.

Runic Long Seax
I love the knife but not the scabbard. The scabbard us not sturdy enough for me. I don't think it would hold up to actual use in the woods. It hangs on my wall.

BLADE is great! Back scabbard not so much.
I LOVE the blade!!! Though I did expect my initials to be closed to the hilt. Ever since before I was born my Spanish teacher mom went to Spain and decorated our living room in an “Old Spain” motif. Among the flickering wall torches and bullfighting posters was a SHORT sword wall-hanger from Toledo. Well I’ve practiced wielding that “sword” for 50+ years and I found this Saex very similar.

The behind-your-back belt scabbard is just ridiculous! It sticks out on either side!!! I took the leather strips off and made my own Left hand angled belt scabbard and now I can cross draw with my Ulfberht in n my right hand and the Seax in my left.

Not happy
The blade was amazing, but the things that hurts the review are time, and quality of the pommel.

I ordered the seax knowing it was going to be on time for a gift, but that was not the case. The seax was sold out. Months later I receive it after fathers day (the day it was originally for).

When the seax was received we both looked it over and noticed that this expensive blade's pommel was not made well. I sent a question to museum replicas and I received this " I spoke with one of our experts here on staff about the pictures you supplied. He informed me that in the pictures, what you are referring to is the peening process that occurs during the forging of the sword. " Therefore i was sent a seax that I waited for that was not good quality. Nothing was offered at all, like a replacement or a discount on the seax or another blade.

We're sorry to hear that your unhappy about the peening. In a usable seax however a full tang that has been peened is one of the best methods for a long lasting blade. While the peening can be ground down smoothly that weakens the hold immensely.
Great blade
An excellent short sword, whether its historically accurate or not.  I love mine and only need to make a slight adjustment to the scabbard to allow for proper belt attachment.

Nice Replica!
This is the best battle-worthy replica of the famous Scramaseax that was pulled out of the Thames River in London. It's 2 foot blade ends in a long wickedly pointed tip The balance is great; it feels light in the hand. But, the exquisite sword-style hilt is entirely speculative and the sheath does not hang properly.

Awesome piece!
This is a beautiful Seax, longer than most and marked with the Runic alphabet. The sheath is better than most from Windlass but still not the best. Very happy with this purchase!

Worth Owning!
This Seax is a real beauty and is a great addition to the weapons wall at my place. With that said the sheath is not great by any standards. But I say I will make my own with no real complaints. I really like this Seax so 5 Stars in a Z formation!!!

Great Saex! Almost like it was custom made just for me. My hand fits the hilt perfectly and is razor sharp. I only gave it 4 stars because of the sheath. The belt loops are too far apart for my taste.
