OVERVIEW

This Hand and Half training sword from Cold Steel is made from the heaviest grade polypropylene available and closely duplicates a real sword in length, size, weight and feel. Can be used as a hand and half sword as well. While not quite as stiff as wood, it has the advantage of being impervious to the elements, unbreakable and highly cut resistant. If your ultimate goal is to wield a razor sharp sword safely and effectively, you need to train with a sword that approximates the size, feel and heft of a live blade, yet minimizes the possibility of causing grievous or permanent injury to yourself or your training partner. The power of 3
I purchased 3  of these .because I wanted to learn how to use a sword. They are sturdy with a little bit of weight.  Nearly indestructible though it will not feel good if you get stabbed.

Had My Wife Buy This for Me Last Christmas
I wanted a practice sword that approximated the length and weight of my Bosworth Longsword and this sword comes quite close (it is actually 3-3/8 inches shorter and heavier than the Bosworth sword, but does quite well)

This is the first time I have bought a polypropylene practice sword (the others are made of wood).  I am quite pleased with it and will be buying more of the polypropylene practice weapons in the future.

As an added bonus, I can take it into my medieval history class to show the students the size difference between it and the arming sword without violating the "no weapons" policy of the college!
