OVERVIEW
This authentic new kukri is made by the official government contractor, Windlass Steelcrafts, for issue to the Gurkha''s Assam Rifles Regiment. Made to current military specifications, it is hand forged from high carbon steel and comes with a regulation sheath. This kukri has a double fullered blade. It also features the traditional religious notch symbolic of the trident (3 pronged spear) of Shiva. The polished, native hardwood handle is reinforced by a brass bolster and a brass pommel with a raised lion's head decoration. This very powerful chopping blade is a must for outdoor activities that require chopping and cutting. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts and comes factory sharp.

Well Constructed Kukri
The Assam Rifles Kukri impressed me right out of the box. Solid feel, well balanced, and quite sharp.. The brass furnishings and hardwood grip are nicely made and compliment each other well. This is a very well constructed kukri and happy I added it to my collection.

Very well made. The scabbard is excellent. The tiny acc. knives might be useful as letter openers. I find it hard to believe that military specs. would call for a dull edge,but can be easily sharpened with a file and stoned sharp. still a good buy.

Excellent cutter.
This is a solidly-built, functional piece. It feels good in the hand and does a number on cardboard, branches, and light shrubs in my side-yard. The two little tools for sharpening are of very questionable utility, but the kukri itself is a great, functional piece.

Wowza!
As my first kukri this sets the standards high for any other kukri I purchase. The sharpening service was no joke this thing took the hair clean off of my arm and the scabbard is well crafted. It did take some getting used to while wearing it but that soon became normal and is a great tool and weapon.

Nice blade, I paid for the sharpening service and it was done well. As another reviewer has said the small knives are non-descript, there's no way anyone would know one is supposed to be a sharpening steel the other a small blade. My main issue sadly is it's fit in the scabbard, mine slides out. OK for display but not practical use. Having said that happy with the item and will buy from Museum Replicas again

This arrived to me in perfect condition. I am impressed with the feel and the balance. The sharpening is awesome, xcept for the fact that the small utility knives didn't get touched at all, and they are just stamped steel.
