This sword is excellent! Worthy of the knights. It holds a place of honor in my library.

I expected a lot from this sword when I saw the pictures (before the release).  Its a heavy sword for sure.  the silver finish tarnished quite quickly. If we want to keep the sword beautiful, we have to clean it. For the fittings of the scabbard it is very tedious to clean and for the fittings of the sword itself, do not rub too hard otherwise you risk damaging the plating.  But otherwise, its a very nice sword.  Similar than the one used the Templar Knight Landry in the Knightfall TV show.  it's definitely an impressive conversation piece when you have guests at home!

I couldn't be happier with this sword. It feels great and sturdy in the hand. Well balanced and light. This blade is both functional and gorgeous to look at. You won't be disappointed.

This is the best sword I have from MRL / Windlass. I waited to do a review because  there have been some complaints by other reviewers about the silver colored guard and pommel not aging well. I personally like the aging patina it has taken on. It now looks more like a vintage sword.

This purchase was my first ever sword. I had been wanting a "battle ready" sword for a long time that coincided with the Knights Templar. When I came across this sword I did what I'm sure many of you did, I researched as much as I could about it before buying. When I received it I was like a kid again receiving my first BB-gun. I was ecstatic. The sword was packaged securely and had plenty of protective packing grease on the blade, which wiped off very easily. The materials of the entire sword are without question, of very high quality. My only complaint would be with the scabbard. Two of the leather trim pieces were broken off. One near the opening of the scabbard. One at the bottom of the scabbard. They were easily glued back into place without much fuss. Also, I had to add more buckle holes to get the belt to fit my waist. These are very minor issues that do not take away from giving this sword a full "5 star" rating however. I would recommend this sword to anyone. Matter of fact, I loved this sword so much, I recently placed an order for the "Faithkeeper" sword! I can't wait till it's back in stock and sent my way.

I want to give both MRL and the Accolade Sword the highest possible rating.  Shipping was FAST!  Communication was timely.  the sword is exactly as represented. The scabbard and double belt exceeded my expectations. I could go on, but let it suffice to say, you will not be disappointed.

I plan to use this sword both as a display and in Templar Costume.

This was a gift for my grandson and I have to say "IT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT"

Easily the most attractive and eye-catching sword in my collection.  As is the norm with my Museum Replicas purchases, this one is well made, sturdy, and has a nice balance when handling.  I can't imagine anyone not being happy with this one - HIGHLY recommended!!

I only have one real complaint. The handle is a single piece of leather wrapped around the tang and then wrapped with silver wire. On mine there is a noticeable ridge where the leather meets that gets very uncomfortable over time unless I'm wearing a glove. Now for the good stuff! The blade is clearly hand forged and finished with all the requisite little waves and flaws only a true hand forged blade would have. Balance is great - just in front of the guard, came nicely servicable sharp. Scabbard and belt are very nice and the little crosses look like they've been out in the field of combat a few times. Over all a very nice match with the dagger. Now I just need a suit of mail and helmet!

I purchased this for our son for his HS graduation.  I thought it appropriate for a young man entering into the world....or at least college.   He loved it.  I was so pleased with the quality and with the reaction received by our son.  He proudly displays it in his room.  I think the history of what it represents also has made an impact on him.  Not cheap but well worth the investment.

I currently own seven swords and a handful of daggers and bayonets and this is easily my favorite.  Its well made, nothing loose, scabbard fits well and looks great
