Review of: Eglinton Basket-Hilt Sword

I purchased this as a "Deal of the Day".  I've had my eye on it for quite a while and was delighted to see it come up on sale.  It's stunning.  Feels great in the hand.  Nice weight and balance.  I had it sharpened and am pleased with the blade.  This is an item that now looks to be on the closeout list.  I'd suggest getting it before it's gone.  You won't regret it.

Review of: Rapier Umbrella

I’ve had mine for years, 10 at least but I think more, and have had no problem other than the liner for the blade sticking out on the draw once.  Sometimes I have to jiggle the umbrella a little to return the blade but never a problem to draw.  And as an umbrella it works, no problem there either.

Review of: Eglinton Basket-Hilt Sword

This is probably my favorite basket-hilt sword in my collection. The unique and intricate basket is well made and encloses the complete hand. The blade, although a bit heavy, is thick and sturdy. The wire wrapped ray skin handle looks great and is very tightly assembled. 2 thumbs up!

Review of: Oakeshott Type XIV

I love this little sword. More like a very large dagger, it has been a Windlass favorite amongst collectors for years. When it made a come back, I was excited to be able to get my hands on one. I changed out the plain black leather on the handle with black leather cord to dress it up a bit. Very happy with this purchase.

Review of: Sword of Avalon

Museum Replicas has really out done  themselves once again. This is the most awesome sword . The fit and finish is excellent. I have always loved the edge geometry of the double edged sharply tapering blade.  The sword feels extremely well balanced. I look forward to seeing how well it cuts cardboard mailing tubes.I had the sword professionally sharpened.  Well worth the price.  If you are a Collector of swords  you really need to purchase this sword.

Review of: Steampunk Airship Captain’s Katana

I purchased this for my son who shares the same enthusiasm for weaponry as myself.
It came today; my son opened the box and was absolutely thrilled.  He's into the Steampunk genre and this sword is the perfect addition to his collection.  I am very impressed with the quality and design, etc.  I ordered it sharpened as one would expect a sword to be.  I see this is now a closeout item.  If you've had any thought of owning one of these, get it before they're gone.  You'll regret missing out if they run out of them.

Review of: Eglinton Basket-Hilt Sword

This beautiful back sword is balanced for the thrust. It has an intricately detailed basket. A real knockout for looks. I found that the basket came too far around so that it hit my wrist on both sides on cutting strokes (admittedly not the main purpose for this sword). I removed the last loop on the bottom of each side of the basket with a Dremel tool and the problem was solved. Not too much to do for a sword of this quality. The basket still looks great, even with the slight modification.
