Visored Bascinet
This is the first Helmet I have purchased from MRL. Mostly for collectibility, but can also be worn for an authentic look to you Faire Garb. I love the look and style of this finely crafted piece. MRL never disappoints in quality and speed of service. My next purchase will most likely be the Templar Sugarloaf Helm.

It fits!
My head is over 25 inches around, it makes finding helmets (and regular hats) quite annoying. This helmet fits, so I can actually wear it comfortably. The facts that it looks great, is solid, and allows pretty good visibility are all just bonuses

BATTLE READY BASCINET, AAAA++++
Very nice quality helmet, fits perfectly with the MRL helmet liner and the MRL maille coif. With this helmet what you see is what you get. It's sturdy, battle ready, and with a little practice you can open and close the visor quickly. Also when up, the visor stays up, if not, pull the visor up and give it a very delicate twist. Remember you can buy a padding kit if you really need to adjust the helmet. Adjust the helmet to where your eyes are even with the eye slits for best visibility. Remember, however, the closer the faceplate is to your face, the more likely you would be to suffer facial damage, especially your nose. But this was the norm at that time. Mis-shapen noses were a badge of honor as everyone knew you were a tourney jouster, man-at-arms, etc. All around a great helmet!!! No kiddie costume junk here!!! The real deal.

Love the inner lining and solid feel.  This is a worthy addition to the collection.  Be sure to add an arming cap for protection.  Your hair will appreciate it, especially with a coif.

Nice solid helmet, visor swings up and stays in place while up and locks in place wheile down. Fits well over chainmail coif. Shipping grease is my only complaint, I understnd it is used to keep the helmet from rusting but it's really think and oliy and hard to clean off.

This helmet is beautiful. It fits well when I wear it. The cloth liner inside is very nice and great, especially if you forget to buy an arming cap. Once my friends tried it on they want to get one themselves.
