Same issue
Like the other reviewer, mine also had the paint issue. It also jangles a little bit, but is mostly ok in that regard. It’s mostly a good stick and good quality, but those things could and should be improved for future customers. It’s also very unprofessional on the part of the company.

Great Cane
I picked this cane up on a whim about a year ago, mostly because of it's resemblance to Dr. Watson's in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. I remain impressed by the craftsmanship. The fitment of the blade/handle into the body of the cane is tight and is without shaking. The button release works quite well. Overall sturdy and attractive design.

Victorian fun
Super. Well built and just the right height and weight. Came fast as well.

The cane is well made, the details are artistic and pleasing to the eye. The clasp for the sword fits snugly and releases smoothly. The blade, is dagger in length, and unsharpened. The point of the blade would easily pierce certain objects with a little applied pressure and not much effort. For a cutting edge, however, the blade would need to be sharpened. The blade meets functional use as a short thruster, and would perform rather like a light Main Gauche being of similar length. Naturally, such an object is for decorative use, and fully meets those requirements.
