Windlass Steelcrafts is proud to release a replica of the famous Ballock dagger currently housed in the Rothenburg Collection. Believed to be from Northern Italy, this stunning dagger exemplifies the work found in and around Venice.
Our massive Veronese Ballock Dagger sports a blade with a square cross-section, which shifts 45 degrees at the tip and has a stepped ricasso section with fullers. The tough, black wooden handle is sandwiched between a lavishly engraved guard and pommel, plated in 24-karat gold.
The inscription on the cap of the pommel reads, DEXTERA DOMINI FECIT VIRTUTEM - The Right Hand of the Lord Hath Wrought Strength. A four-sided, wooden scabbard, covered in black leather and rich, matching gold-plated fittings is included.
