Review of: Helmet of Castile

Love it.  I have the sugarloaf helm also and I wish that one had the chin strap that this one does.  fits well and securely.  I need to adjust the liner but I'm waiting until I have time to put it on over mail and arming cap to adjust the height and test the final fit.

Review of: Crusader Wooden Shield

Opening the box I didnt know what to expect. After layers of cardboard and shipping padding (not peanuts) I was incredibly surprised by how solid this piece felt. Strapping it to my arm was a surprise to be sure. The creatures I'd be ready to fight, I felt like a paladin in hell ready to hit evil head on. I ordered the non painted and got the painted cross. While not dissapointed I'm deciding if I'll paint it myself now. Pleased, pleased, pleased!

Review of: Crusader Wooden Shield

My boyfriend LOVES his Templar Shield. Excellent quality and truly realistic. He dressed as a Knights Templar when we went to a medieval faire. He was stopped by numerous people requesting a picture with him. Would love to post a picture of him in his Templar outfit of which many items were purchased via Museum Replicas.

Review of: Leather Swordsman Vambraces

They look great. Unfortunately, one of the Vambraces has an issue with the rivet studs and I will either have to repair it myself if I can find replacement studs or send it back for a new one. Other than that, they look great.

Review of: Visored Bascinet

Very nice quality helmet, fits perfectly with the MRL helmet liner and the MRL maille coif. With this helmet what you see is what you get. It's sturdy, battle ready, and with a little practice you can open and close the visor quickly. Also when up, the visor stays up, if not, pull the visor up and give it a very delicate twist. Remember you can buy a padding kit if you really need to adjust the helmet. Adjust the helmet to where your eyes are even with the eye slits for best visibility. Remember, however, the closer the faceplate is to your face, the more likely you would be to suffer facial damage, especially your nose. But this was the norm at that time. Mis-shapen noses were a badge of honor as everyone knew you were a tourney jouster, man-at-arms, etc. All around a great helmet!!! No kiddie costume junk here!!! The real deal.

Review of: Arming Cap, Quilted

Great arming cap. I wear it under my MRL Mail Coif and my MRL Visored Bascinet. Now the Arming Cap itself is a touch on the thin side, BUT if it were any thicker whatsoever my mail and helmet would be too tight. As of now they all fit perfect!! Not just trying to get reward points here. This arming cap is well put together and made to last, and mine has seen plenty of Renaissance Faires! Grab one,  you won’t regret it 👍😊

Got this on deal of the day a while ago. The material is good leather. I got them for my Fiancé and he says they are comfortable to wear.
