Knife Collection

Knives are the single-edged cousin to the dagger.  Historically knives had a utilitarian purpose, filling needs such as hunting, camp work, and cutting. They could be used for protection if a sword or axe was unavailable. They have evolved into complex weapons that can be easily concealed.

Review of: Texas Bowie Knife

It's a very large and excellent sharpened knife. It's very beautiful looking. The sheath is simple and fits well. The engraving is very nice though in an odd position.

Review of: Runic Long Seax

This is the best battle-worthy replica of the famous Scramaseax that was pulled out of the Thames River in London. It's 2 foot blade ends in a long wickedly pointed tip The balance is great; it feels light in the hand. But, the exquisite sword-style hilt is entirely speculative and the sheath does not hang properly.

Review of: Kraken Pocket Knife

A beautiful piece. It carries a fine edge. The action is is pretty stiff as many new folding knives are but is loosening up nicely and I oil and work it.A little larger than most it's great for everyday carry

Review of: Runic Long Seax

This is a beautiful Seax, longer than most and marked with the Runic alphabet. The sheath is better than most from Windlass but still not the best. Very happy with this purchase!

Review of: Runic Long Seax

This Seax is a real beauty and is a great addition to the weapons wall at my place. With that said the sheath is not great by any standards. But I say I will make my own with no real complaints. I really like this Seax so 5 Stars in a Z formation!!!

Review of: Battlecry Maldon Seax

Absolutely perfect weapon. It's thick blade and great balance make it a dream to hold and use. As soon as I got it, I took it out and put it through some heavy use. It took it all and still looks amazing and hasn't quit cutting yet. I love the finish (and yes, you can polish it) and everything else about it. Couldn't possibly be happier with a sword/knife of this type. Great product, Windlass!

Review of: Battlecry Maldon Seax

This knife is absolute perfection, from the balance to the weight. The sheath is beautiful and the blade slides free with no effort making it a dream to draw.

My only regret is we live in a world where I can't carry this everywhere I go.

Some fit and finish issues but this is a really solid product in terms of functionality especially given the price. Great edge retention and durability, even when put under stress.
