English War Hammer

I bought this item quite a while a go but it remains a favorite of mine and when I display it during school demos or reenactments, I find that it people really enjoy handling it.  I have used it in demonstrations showing the impact the hammer head it has on soft tissue and then I show how easily the spike on the back can penetrate chain link armor.  It is quite impressive and the hammer has stood up to lot of work!

This is my third Warhammer from Museums Replicas Limited (yes, I have a thing form hammers and axes) and I am very happy with it as well. First, it is small, light weight, with a handle long enough to use one or two handed. Second, it is solid, built tough to withstand the rigors of battle. Being a lighter weight warhammer doesn't make this thing any less powerful, it is capable of terrible, smashing blows at incredible speeds! And the backspike is terrible, sharp and pointy, like an ice pick! I would never want to get hit by this thing, not by any part of it! This thing really is small but mighty.

This is an amazingly lightweight, but very sturdy two or one-handed war hammer.  I'd hate to be hit with this thing.  It is easy to swing, even with one arm and on horseback. (Don't recommend for horseback use since the spike end can become stuck in the target.)  I have this axe mounted on the wall above where I sleep.  It is both a quick weapon to have in case of a home break-in or a way out during a fire since it can smash through double paned vinyl windows.  I'm very happy with this purchase.  I do not advise wiping the oil coating off, as this will encourage rust.  It needs to be kept slightly oiled at all times.  If you like war hammers, you'll like this one.

Very well made, Lighter than i expected ,easy to swing. A good Solid piece.

This is a nice toy. It could kinda easily puncture a 1950s automobile. This would have been an excellent weapon for any fight past, present, future. An unskilled fighter most likely could have taken on most any heavy laden opponent. This is a good addition for anyone's collection.

My first purchase from MRL was this English War Hammer as a Deal of the Day. Hammer arrived very quickly. The fit and finish of this hammer is excellent. It looks good and feels great in hand. Beautiful and deadly, just as it should be! Great purchase, especially as a Deal of the Day!

Fast shipping and I mean fast. I ordered at night around 9pm and received an email that it was shipped by 10pm. It arrived 2 days later and that's with standard shipping not even the expensive options. The hammer itself is good quality steel. The pick end comes sharp and can puncture through most things. So far have yet to see stress do any real damage to it hitting things with it. My only complain is the handle. The "leather"? on it is paper thin and greasy. Although it's not like that can't be fixed by just making your own leather one for a better grip. Overall 4/5

Excellent addition to my medieval collection. Well shaped head & spike, proportioned shaft, inlaid langets, and metal endcap all makes it just right for me. MR again scores another 5 from me. Thanks folks.

I just received this war hammer after purchasing it from the deal of the day.  It arrived quickly and well packed.  This is an awesome weapon.  Beautiful in appearance and formidable as a weapon.  The spiked end is very sharp and would do serious damage if put to use.  Balance is great.  Wonderful feel.  The workmanship is outstanding.  Delighted with this purchase.

Windlass Steelcrafts and Museum Replicas have outdone themselves again! This Warhammer has perfect balance and weight as well as a deadly spike that excels at penetration on sheet metal, wood and everything else I have tested it against, without leaving a mark on the head.

This is a fine war hammer.  It goes well with my Tudor close helm.

Well built. light and strong. i had used this to put holes in many objects including doors, sheet metal, ect. this is a perfect product and very well priced.
