Only Kings, Queens and the Gods were allowed to carry the symbol of the Ankh, the Egyptian sign of life. This hand pained resin box is in the shape of this ancient symbol with hieroglyphics around the side and a gold finish.  The top is adorned with a relief of hieroglyphics encircling a scarab.
