The small steel domed shield remained popular from the 13th to the 17th century. Many soldiers preferred this to the full-size shield to be able to move more quickly. This is a good looking shield, but may be unsuitable for live combat; makes a great display shield or for costuming/LARP purposes- it is almost the exact same size as Captain America's shield so if you paint it yourself, you'll save $300.
