Cadsand Sword

#501126
$245.00

We have chosen to name this Flemish sword for the Battle of Cadsand, Flanders, where a small Flemish Army stood up bravely to 2,000 longbowmen and finally hand-to-hand combat before being defeated by the English. It's sweeping parts are brass and the grip is solid hardwood on an effective medieval cut-and-thrust type blade from well-tempered high carbon steel. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts®. Includes scabbard.

Sword is a bit blade heavy, but that's to be expected with no fuller.  Could use a heavier pommel, but high quality fit and finish.  Hardwood handle is a bit slippery, but I'll probably wrap it with cord or leather.  Excellent buy.
