Does the deal of the day mean that that is the time to get rid of substandard products? I was excited to see this knife on sale and I ordered it on the way home in the car. I asked the AC rep if I needed to pay more to have it sharpened and she said it was already sharp. What came was not sharp and the blade was loose from the handle. Also the knife did not fit well with the sheath (very loose). One of the few times I've been disappointed with AC/MR.

This knife is one of the few pieces in my family's collection that everyone wants a copy (or two) of. The knife itself is well balanced, beautiful and functional. The only thing holding me back from giving a five star rating is the sheath, which is loose and allows the blade to slip out.

I love the looks and design of this knife blade. I am not crazy about the cast handle but can deal with it. The scabbard, however, is absolutely useless! It looks flashy but the blade is not secured in the scabbard. It rattles around and will fall out if tipped. I had to make a sheath in order to carry the knife.

The knife is itself is beautiful, nice balance and deep black luster. The grip, cast metal has great shape but does have some sharp edges that will have to be sanded. The scabbard seems solid but has a serious problem. If you look closely at the picture you will see the scabbard has two metal points right where you put the knife in. Those metal points are very sharp and could easily tear your fingers or palm to pieces as you replace the knife. If the scabbard was empty on your belt it could easily cut into your side. I am trying to figure how to cover it
