This set of lower arm armor is crafted from a double thickness of heavy leather and has a decorative pattern of antiqued steel riveted to them. They provide excellent protection from a draw cut and will finish off an outfit handsomely. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts.

I would have rated this higher, as these have many great qualities: 1.) The steel is of a good gauge and is very sturdy against impact and can actually provide good protection. The leather is thick and double layered where the steel plates are. They can comfortably fit smaller and larger arms. My only complaint (and what knocks down the rating from 5 stars to 3) is that the straps are on the thinner side and clearly are the weak point of these vambraces. Where the leather is looped and riveted where the buckles are is tapered and not particularly secured well with the rivets. Because the leather is tapered it tears away from the rivet MUCH too easily and I had a strap fail at the buckle due to this. This doesn't cause a complete failure of the strap, however, it weakens the overall effectiveness in a battle-ready scenario for these. As high quality as they are, the strap really is the weakest link in an otherwise fantastic and aesthetic piece of armor.

Absolutely gorgeous vambraces, and also extremely effective solid protection. Well-made, but be prepared to add additional piercings to the straps.

Very cool looking and very durable. The construction makes for a good fit that provides wrist maneuverability. Keep it clean as it can rust.
