Like Alex said, go larger than normal. I ordered XL and it just was not big enough. Too much hassle to return it, and one of my sons liked it, so... no loss really. Is a great item though, but you will need to line it yourself.

I love this doublet. The material is very heavy -- nothing like a typical "costume" item. One note: I'm tall (6'2") and slim. I bought the Large. I wish it was a few inches longer at the waist.
