This fantastic helm has leather straps on the crown and a real horsehair top knot. The brass nose guard and the steel pot have an antiqued finish. The comail (mail skirting) protects the neck. Approx. 26" inner circle with an adjustable leather liner and chin strap. Made by Windlass Steelcrafts®.

A great costume piece! Great for a Mongol or Hun costume, even good for a Lord of the Rings, Rohan styled costume. The chainmale is nice, a little shorter than and not nearly as shinny as in the picture. The "leather" liner is actually thin vinyl, which I am not completely happy about since it is this that the chainmail is attached to. But it is reinforced and seems to be sturdy enough. Since I bought this for a display I am happy. Nice job Windlass, if the liner were leather I would give 5 stars.
